Belgium, strategically located at the heart of Europe, is a key trading partner for Italy thanks to its economy, which is particularly open to international trade, and the presence of some of Europe\u2019s most advanced logistics infrastructure, such as the Port of Antwerp, the airports of Brussels, Charleroi and Li\u00e8ge, and a highly developed motorway and river network.<\/p>\n
In 2025, trade between Italy and Belgium reached a value of \u20ac46.5 billion. Italian exports to Belgium amounted to \u20ac20.02 billion, whilst imports from Belgium reached \u20ac26.48 billion, resulting in a trade deficit for Italy of approximately \u20ac6.46 billion.<\/p>\n
In 2025, the main sectors of Italian exports to Belgium were: pharmaceutical and chemical-medicinal products (38.8%), machinery and equipment (10.6%), food, beverages and tobacco (9.0%), metals (7.9%), transport equipment (6.8%) and chemicals (5.9%).<\/p>\n
